Hi Geoffrey, how’s things with you? I’m looking for a Native Mobile App Developer in Melbourne and my colleague, [redacted] suggested I should run it by you in the hope you can recommend someone to me? In short, the work involves developing beacons/location services for public-facing identity verification software. I’ve also pasted a more detailed brief below for you – it would be great if you could refer some people to me or share amongst your contacts. We’re ideally looking for an immediate start but prepared to wait a while for the right person as well!

Mobile Developer – Android, Kotlin and/or iOS Swift 100% work-from-home Contract until end of June 2022 (with expected extensions aligned to 2023 roadmap)

Create mobile apps and services to assist individuals and businesses in the transition out of lockdown Build and develop native mobile apps essential to the continuing revival of metro and regional Victoria communities Work on large public-facing apps, applying a user-first focus to new features and solutions

Join as developer, tester, designer or product owner. Work remotely in an Agile squad of 3-8 people in pursuit of refined user-centric solutions. Help drive Victoria’s ongoing response to Covid-19 and aid economic growth in our most affected industries.

The focus is on rapidly tackling key problems. We need to deliver fit-for-purpose apps and services to tight-timeframes. You’ll be allocated to COVID-19 related projects most relevant to your strengths – this could range from maturing features of the existing identity verification software to finding new ways of delivering interactive content, i.e:

Improving the logged-in experience Utilising location detection technology & Beacons to connect & transmit relevant data Developing automatic check-in functionality for large crowds to efficiently aid event management Developing exit services & continuing to work on enhancing check-in features Design & develop new search & history functions (location, name, sort by date etc) Utilising smart-phone features (i.e. automatic torch in dark mode) to enhance check-in experience

Current Tech Stack Android SDK – Java/Kotlin AND/OR iOS Swift/Swift UI Application/framework design and architecture (MVC/MVVM) Sitecore Web/CMS Source control – GIT Agile Software Development Tools - JIRA Cloud Platform – AWS (EC2, EKS) ** Important note: You do not need to possess every single skill listed above but you will need to have spent a minimum of 3+ years in either Android Mobile Dev [Kotlin] AND/OR iOS [Swift] Development **
