e10s (multi-process) compatibility reports at addons.mozilla.org (AMO)

Background

Waterfox Classic previously allowed an automated switch to single-process mode, in response to adding (or enabling) any extension that is incompatible with multi-process. This automation ended with Waterfox Classic 56.0.3.

e10s (multi-process) compatibility reports at addons.mozilla.org (AMO)

Begun at https://redd.it/8c77ii, but Reddit can not handle lists of this length.

This list includes some of the legacy extensions that were reportedly incompatible. Relevant reports were captured in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine; access to original reports ended in October 2018.

Notes

The list is not intended to be comprehensive.

For a while, reporting was unreliable – extensions that were incompatible were misrepresented as compatible, and so on.

Very few of the named extensions are actively used by me. Most were installed only for support purposes (to help identify issues that were reported by other users), and so on.

Add-on Compatibility Reporter

Please note, this extension is no longer supported by Mozilla. From http://web.archive.org/web/20170831184214/https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/:

… After installing the ACR, you can report if the Firefox add-ons that you're using are working properly. If you notice that one of your add-ons doesn't seem to be working the same way it did in previous versions of the application, just open the Add-ons Manager and click 'Report Issue' next to that add-on to send a report to Mozilla.

Even if your add-ons all work fine, if they're marked incompatible, please let us know that they work fine by submitting a success report …

This tool only works on legacy add-ons, which will stop working on Firefox 57. …

Without making any new report

Installing the reporter may be the simplest way to tell whether an installed extension was, or is, marked as incompatible with multi-process Firefox or multi-process Waterfox.
