Game Time DTR

Project: Game Time - Family Feud

Group Member Names: Alex, Caleb, and Grayson

Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):

  • Create a functioning game with all items working
  • Have creative/new spin on the Family Feud style game
  • Robust testing for our classes and methods
  • Use SASS and jQuery as much as possible

Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):

  • One person write the test, another person writes the class
  • Group driver navigator for larger/more complex functionality, and independent work otherwise

How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:

  • Always get a second eye on functionality, vis a vis split testing
  • Keep clear communication channels

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):

  • All available after classes are done

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):

  • Daily stand-up/briefing of what we want to get done
  • Focus on interactive PRs and code reviews

Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

  • CSS/SASS
  • jQuery
  • GitHub PRs and code review through website rather than in person

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

  • TBD

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):

  • Focus on interactive PRs and code reviews
  • Using the linter
  • GitHub projects

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

  • Be honest, be direct

Project management tools we will use (GitHub projects or Trello are popular tools):

  • GitHub Projects

Day 1 Agenda:

  • DTR complete
  • All get repo on machines
  • Brainstorm Class Structures
