an initial discussion around what the evolution of devcon.london should be, in a collaborative open way

definitions

  • devcon-core is a subset of devcon.london members willing to actively participate to the evolution of the community. the community is flat with no hierarchy, decisions are taken in total democracy and transparency.

meet-ups

27.4.17 @ barbican:

1st round of Action items agreed during 1st meeting

  • start using github and gists, encourage transferring knowledge
  • cull zombies, put up a form
  • schedule mid-term meet-ups with talk and open mic / speed talk. this should help building a list of hot topics potentially to be used for workshops / conference

initial ideas

here is a list of points to be discussed with devcon.core. some of the points came out as a result of the survey sent in february, a recap is published here. everyone in devcon should feel free to add / update as needed.

conference / meetup / tutorial

either a 1 day or more talks or workshops, but we must define a sustainable strategy for generating interesting / relevant content

linkedin

worth creating a group so we can connect each other?

website

current form is super slow and really tricky to add any content in case we decide to start sharing some content

zombies

we need to discuss if we want to cull them, maybe refresh the invitation with a confirmation form and leave it open for a period then get rid of people who don't submit (problem: how to get rid of them from slack / docs? ouch...)
