Epicor Classic vs Epicor Kinetic

Epicor ERP Classic and Epicor ERP Kinetic are two different user interfaces for the same ERP system. Both have their own unique features and capabilities, and the choice between them will depend on the specific needs of your organization.

Pros of Epicor ERP Classic:

Familiarity: Epicor ERP Classic is the traditional user interface for the Epicor ERP system, and many users are already familiar with its layout and functionality. Customization: Classic UI can be customized to a greater extent than Kinetic UI. Third-party Add-ons: Many third-party add-ons and integrations have been developed for the Classic UI and are readily available. Cons of Epicor ERP Classic:

Limited scalability: The Classic UI may not be able to handle the requirements of larger organizations or those with more complex needs. Limited Mobile support: The Classic UI is not designed for mobile devices, which limits the functionality of the ERP system on mobile devices. No support for modern web technologies: The Classic UI is based on older web technologies, which may not be supported by modern web browsers. Pros of Epicor ERP Kinetic:

Modern Interface: Kinetic UI is a modern, web-based interface that is designed for use on all types of devices, including mobile devices. Improved scalability: Kinetic UI is designed to handle the requirements of larger organizations and those with more complex needs. Improved performance: The Kinetic UI is optimized for performance, which can result in faster load times and better overall performance. Cons of Epicor ERP Kinetic:

Steep learning curve: The Kinetic UI has a different layout and functionality than the Classic UI, which may require a learning curve for users. Limited customization: Kinetic UI has limited customization options compared to the Classic UI. Limited third-party add-ons: Many third-party add-ons and integrations have not yet been developed for the Kinetic UI. It's important to note that Epicor is actively working to improve the Kinetic UI and make it more flexible and customizable, so some of these cons may change in the future. Also, the decision of which UI to use depends on the specific needs of the organization, and it's recommended to consult with an Epicor partner or a consultant to evaluate the best fit for your organization.
