Install vagrant + virtualbox on opensuse
Heaven forbid if u are using "basic" OS like OpenSuse , as i have been sturggling with it.. :(
i feel like a lot gists will go on my experiences with this terrible OS ..thanks openSuSE ..
ok here is how u install vagrant and virtualbox on SUSE based OS in the right way ..
======================
1.install virtualbox4.3
sudo zypper install Virtualbox-4.3
This will probably fail with following error:
```
Creating group 'vboxusers'. VM users must be member of that group!
No precompiled module for this kernel found -- trying to build one. Messages
emitted during module compilation will be logged to /var/log/vbox-install.log.
Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules..done
Recompiling VirtualBox kernel modules..done
Starting VirtualBox kernel modules..failed
(modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why)
```
To fix this, run :
```
sudo modprobe vboxdrv --allow-unsupported
```
Confirm it by running:
```
$lsmod | grep -i vbox
OUTPUT:vboxdrv 463228 0
```
2. Now that virtual box is installed all modules are loaded properly, we will install vagrant.
vagrant used to be a gem package, but now they have OS specific installations.
For SLES based machines, install the rpm package of vagrant as follows:
* get the rpm first
`wget --no-check-certificate https://dl.bintray.com/mitchellh/vagrant/vagrant_1.7.2_x86_64.rpm -O vagrant.rpm`
* install the rpm:
`sudo zypper in vagrant.rpm`
check installation worked by running :
`vagrant`
