To the Hiring Manager(s) at Telnyx,

I would like to be considered for the open position of Front-end Web Developer at your company. I understand that you are a business that cares about the streamlined connection between people and technology. To fill such roles, I would assume you’re looking for not only intelligent people, but also people who’s charisma bolsters empathy. If this is the case, I feel I would be a great addition to your team.

Recently, I have built several React applications, utilizing both single-page displays, and multi-page routing. These projects utilize RESTful APIs to display data on a Responsive Web Design. I strive to build my applications with 100% accessibility, performance, and Search Engine Optimization; from what I gather, this is a base requirement at Telnyx.

I wasn’t always a “nerd”. Previous to studying programming, I was a wildland firefighter. Although these careers don’t have a lot of similarities, they do both require high levels of communication and problem solving. When I work on a program in a group, I often look back to my time as a firefighter and find comfort knowing I can work on a highly efficient team, under pressure (it also helps to know things aren’t literally on fire).

To conclude, I see value in Telnyx’s goal for an accessible world. It’s one that connects people to the technology of tomorrow. It’s one that cares about the people of today. This is why it is a company that I desire to work for.

Thank you for your consideration, Ian Holladay
