NY 2022 March to May Food Adventures

⭐️ Standouts this trip:

🐟 Cervo's Cute, cool, classy. Every dish was an absolute hit. Primarily seafood, but non-seafood dishes are on par. Hard to get into with anything more than 2 people.

🇹🇭 Thai Diner A revelation. Somehow has a ton of fun while keeping the food top notch. The breakfast sandwich is great, but fair warning: you'll be eyeing the dinner dishes.

❤️ Other favorites:

🍲 Wu's Wonton King Need a last minute table for 10? Or just craving some Wonton soup? Wu's.

🌀 Thursday Kitchen Fun Korean + any culture they feel like fusion. Yes, I know, roll eyes at "fusion." It's good!

🇻🇳 Ha's Dac Biet Our favorite popup. Vietnamese, but they're really bold and innovative with their flavors. They're also haing so much fun, all the time, it's very sweet. They often do collaborations with other restaurants – follow their instagram page for updates.

🇻🇳 Falansai Not Maddi's favorite, but I thought it was great! Not as creative as Ha's but very, very polished. Not a falvor out of place.

🥮 Win Son Creative, delicious, cool. Fantastic. Taiwanese!

🍤 Bonnie's What's with all these creative Chinese restaurants? One of the hardest reservations to get in the whole city. Just walk in with 2 and cross your fingers – you won't regret trying and trying. Cantonese!

🍜 Wenwen Another entry in the new wave of Chinese revalations. Taiwanese! Also contender for best bathroom. Not as good as Bonnie's or Winson in my opinion, but that's hardly a dig.

🍳 C&B Favorite (classic) breakfast sando so far. Super cute spot by the park. Don't sleep on the curry eggs.

☕️ La Cabra Best coffee we've had in NY, hands down.

🐠 Dame A fish and chips pop up during the pandemic, all grown up. Funny enough, the fish and chips isn't even the best thing on the menu, though it is fantastic. Don't you dare skip the oysters.

🍕 Scarr's Ugh, another contendor for favorite pizza spot in NY? Exhausting. Effortlessly hip, get the cheese and grandma over the pepperoni. They mill their own flour, if that's what you're into.

🥪 Foxface Infinite creativity at this standout sandwhich spot.

🍷 Sauced I don't feel cool enough for this BK wine bar, but they're very sweet.

🥟 North Dumpling The cutest hole in the wall you'll ever go to. The owner makes dumplings by hand, to order, and she is lightning fast. Some of the best dumplings to boot.

🍝 Popina Expertly done pastas.

🌮 BirriaLandia When our friend told us about getting Mexican food in NY, we rolled our eyes. Then we had Birria Landia. Then got back in line. And then got back in line again.

🍹 Mister Paradise Next door to Sydney's 5. Great food, great drinks.

🍸 Death and Co Next level cocktails.

🍘 Fu Zhou Wei Zhong Wei Jia Xiang Feng Wei In a dystopian, half abandoned mall under a bridge. What a sentence. What baos too.

🍔 7th Street Burger All night smash burgers!

🇲🇽 Atla Too expensive, but evokes Pujol's flavors. Go if you feel like splurging on really excellent guac, somehow.

🍩 Doughnut Plant I could eat the Brooklyn Blackout for the rest of my life.

🍕 Prince Street Pizza Our favorite (Scicilian slice) pizza place, truly fantastic.

🥩 Katz I won't waste words trying to get you to go to Katz's. An institution.

🇬🇷 Kiki's Super cute corner Greek restaurant. Lovely vibes, lovely, homey food.

🥓 Fairfax An over the top breakfast sandwhich which will put you back to sleep. Haven't tried the burger, which is of high reknown.

🇲🇾 Kopitam Super unique flavors.

🍷 Gem Wine The cutest wine bar we ever did see, which great little snacks.

🍚 886 Wenwen's less fancy cousin, the lunch and dinner are good, but the breakfast is standout. Get the soy milk!

😢 Ran out of time (please try and let us know!):

Dhamaka Supposed to be indian food that you can't generally find in the US. Looks great.

Cosme Another Pujol ambassador in the US, and that can't be bad.

Dacha 46 A super cool Ukrainian/Jewish popup that looks great, despite the fact we don't really like dill.

Estela I mean, just look at the menu.

Win Son Bakery I want the Fan Tuan. I need the Fan Tuan.

Dept. of Culture Seems really hard to get into, but worth it. Nigerian.

Agi's Counter Eastern European breakfast.

% Arabica Coffee Apparently a La Cabra challenger.

Sydney's 5 Drinks and food look great, great vibes. Good backup to Mister Paradise or vice versa.
