I will be continuing my work on the following :
- Working on the Smart Irrigation Controller (Continuation of EECE 499). Considering the current situation, we need to discuss the feasibility of some aspects (i.e. Meeting with agriculture experts, work in the field, ordering required hardware like the LoRa interface...). Integrated unit ? By spring it is a hard deadline. Apache server ( Interfacing with the irrigation component, LoRa WAN statistics, server). Code Review. Raspberry-Pi AUB labs
- Mobile Application, polishing it and making sure it's ready for release. (Refactoring the code, Writing documentation...). If you are interested, we could organize a code review session.
Are there other students working on Raspberry-Pi related projects ? If you want I can help them get started with the Raspberry-Pi board, it's GPIO interface and Linux in general. I already have some written documentation and links which I could send you, and you could forward to them.
Most of my work can be done online, as I already have a Raspberry-Pi board and can order small electronics component myself from shops. However, if I have to pick-up some hardware from the AUB labs, or have to complete some hardware work which requires me to be in the AUB labs, I can be on campus when needed and with your permission.
Considering that I'd be working exclusively on the project, should I send more regular work updates ?
They could be Latex-written reports which I could send by mail regularly or put them on a online storage solution.
- I have talked with them and discussed their research work under your supervision. I don't know the specifics, but they need someone to dig through compiler codes and maybe write one. I've heard the course on compilers will probably not be offered during my last year, so learning about it on my own would be a good opportunity.
