Noting all the subtle things I had to tinker with.

  • mouse sensitivity. I prefer a slow speed mouse.
  • my audio was playing through another headset, I had to switch to headphones
  • install Chrome as Firefox was the default
  • tried app: Disks
  • signup with Ubuntu One
  • installed Spotify
  • installed Viber
  • installed Google Chrome
  • installed Password Safe
  • installed Upwork Time tracker
  • installed Slack
  • installed Skype
  • installed Vim
  • installed Filezilla
  • installed Visual Studio Code, some UI issues with the explorer.
  • installed Git

Limitations

  • Photoshop
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro, I might proceed with using Wine.

Observations

  • I immediately got a notif about an update. 200MB-ish in size.
  • Drag and drop images from folders to web page upload fields works as expected

Highlights

  • Built-in screenshot tool is amazing. This is the perferct Snipping tool replacement. It has delayed captures option and can take full screen, window, or any selected area of the screen.
