I married some people. This is the script I used.

Please take a seat!

Mawage.

Mawage is wot brings us together today.

We are gathered here to witness and to celebrate the joining of GROOM and BRIDE in mawage. And also marriage.

As they promise to love each other, to trust in that love, to honor each other as individuals, and to anticipate with joy spending their lives in each other's company and with each other's support,

they are surrounded by us - their friends and family.

Thank you for gathering here, from all over the United States - coast to coast, top to bottom - to witness their marriage and to share in the joy of this celebration.

And now some words from Bob Marley and I - on the topic of Love.

Your boo isn't perfect – neither of you are, and the two of you may never be perfect together – but if they can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold on to them and give them the most you can.

They may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but they will give you a part of them that they know you can break – their heart.

So don’t hurt them, don’t change them, don’t analyse and don’t expect more than they can give.

Smile when they makes you happy.

Let them know when they makes you mad.

and miss them when they're not with you.

Do you Groom promise to love Bride and respect her, to share your life and your dreams, to build with her a home that is a place of love, happiness, commitment, and growth?

Groom: I do

Do you promise to be a companion to her in all of her successes and failures, her happiness and sadness, to always give to her your unwavering support and the freedom to be herself?

Groom: I do

Do you Bride promise to love Groom and respect him, to share your life and your dreams, to build with him a home that is a place of love, happiness, commitment?

Bride: I do

Do you promise to be a companion to him in all of his successes and failures, his happiness and sadness, to always give to him your unwavering support and the freedom to be himself?

Bride: I do

Groom and Bride have elected to share their vows to each other privately.

While they're communing, please entertain yourselves.

I suggest rock paper scissors with your nearest neighbors.

At this time, hold the rings you have for each other, as these rings are a physical representation of your promises to each other.

The hand upon which you place the ring will not stay the same. In time, wrinkles will form, and different scars will come and go.

Not only will you physically change, but internally you will change as well. Your values, your passtimes, your hopes and copes may evolve.

Some things important to you today may carry different weight in a few decades, but these rings, which represent your promises, will not.

Your promises to each other - to love, to support, and to respect one another - you will carry into the future.

Your love will be a constant as you walk into the unknown together, as husband and wife.

As you place the ring on each other's finger, please repeat after me

Groom:

You are more precious to me today than yesterday, and you will be more cherished tomorrow than you are today.

Please wear this ring as a symbol of my love for you, a love that transcends all our yesterdays, all our todays, and all our tomorrows.

Bride:

You are more precious to me today than yesterday, and you will be more cherished tomorrow than you are today.

Please wear this ring as a symbol of my love for you, a love that transcends all our yesterdays, all our todays, and all our tomorrows.

You came here today to commemorate your love for one another - and to formalize what your hearts have known --

that your lives are meant to be shared,

that you are stronger together than you are apart,

and that for all the days to come, you wish to share in all life's joys and challenges, committed to eachother and to your future together.

I now pronounce you husband and wife!

You may now share your first kiss as a wedded couple!
