Easy peasy. Just adjust the logo until it looks nice.
I changed to a couple of different fonts that are known for being clear:
- Acumin Variable Concept (Currently selected)
- Myriad Variable Concept
- PT Sans
- Source Sans Variable
Added more blurbs to the document.
I had to resize the cover page, content page and about page to fit on a normal paper (8.5" x 11")
I made a new Illustrator file with the right size (8.5" x 11"). I then selected the Content Page items from covernew.ai
(dragged and selected all) and pasted them into the new file. There were weird triangles in the background of the file. So I went through the Layers window and selected all of those and deleted them. I then just had to re-size the image since it was still small from the covernew.ai
file. To do that I used the command+shift+alt+d command and **Scaled Horizontal and Vertical by the same amount. **
I again made a new Illustrator file with the right size (8.5" x 11"). I then selected the About Page items from covernew.ai
. This time there were no weird triangles in the background. I then selected all the items and grouped them with Right Click -> Group. I centered them on the artboard through the Align window options: Align Object: -> Horizontal Align Center and Align Object: -> Vertical Align Center. IMPORTANT: Before doing this you need to click on the three lines -> Show Options -> Align To -> Artboard I kept scaling up the image with the command+shift+alt+d and **Scaled Horizontal and Vertical by the same amount. **
First, I tried to open the cover.ai
file that was in your MIAE folder, when I opened it, I found that it told me that the airplane image was missing. I had to find the same airplane that was in the cover image, so I sent the cover page to myself and screenshotted just the airplane part. I uploaded the image onto Google Image and used reverse-image search to try and find the same airplane, after some searching I found it but in a really small size. I used reverse-image search again to try and see if I could find a bigger size of the airplane, I did and sent it back to your laptop. I opened the cover.ai
file again and when it told me that 1.jpg (the airplane image) was missing, this time, when it asked me if I want to find the image on my computer, I selected the image that I found and sent to myself. Now everything was there, so I used the Layers window (click on the small circles, shift+click to select multiple parts) to select all of the parts of the image that were on the right-hand side (the cover page). I copied and pasted these into a new image and grouped all the parts together with Right Click -> Group, I then used the Align window again to center the parts. Finally I used command+shift+alt+d to resize the things back up to take up the whole page.
I selected all of the parts on the left-hand side of cover.ai
using the Layers window as above. I copied and pasted the parts into a new file, grouped them together, centered them with the Align window, as above and resized them with command+shift+alt+d to resize the thing up to take up the whole page.
I made a new file. In this file, I copied and pasted each Blurb from the other file and resized the photos so that they reached down to 8.5 on the left-hand ruler of Word. I then resized the text. I want to kill myself.
I made circles of different colours using the elipse tool. You can switch between them for different food options by toggling the visibility of the layers in the Layers window.
I made 2 new files: contentonly.ai
and aboutonly.ai
. You can print aboutonly.ai
behind covernew.ai
so that the About Page is on the back of the cover page. You can then print the content page, and finally, the actual pamphlet.
