As a Back-End Engineer at Fave, you will help us design cutting edge scalable products to meet our rapidly growing business. We are looking for someone who cares a lot about their craft. Someone who understands the impact of their work on the users.

Your work is not limited to the end users. Your work impacts the livelihood of local businesses. With you, we can help them to grow their business.

As a Back-End Engineer, you will:

  • Develop back end code, Restful APIs and web applications
  • Perform peer code reviews to optimize code quality or readability
  • Deliver reliable solutions that handle massive data and high traffic.
  • Research & learn new technologies and work towards solving problems and meeting requirements.
  • Contribute on weekly learning / training sessions.

To be successful in this role, it’s important to have the following skills:

  • Comfortable in using git
  • Unit testing
  • Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principle and Design Patterns
  • Writing good, clean and readable code
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience and knowledge of open source tools & frameworks, broader cutting edge technologies around server side development.
  • Excellent data structure & algorithm and problem solving skills.

Bonus if you have:

Knowledge in web front-end technologies, Restful APIs and React Native. Contributed to developer communities like Stackoverflow, Topcoder, Github Prior startup experience

As a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer at Fave, you will be working closely with all other engineering teams to understand their development needs. You will be focusing on creative and innovative solutions to help team develop and ship code in better ways. To provide guidance to the Engineering team, you will be looking for latest trends in tools and other practices.

As a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer, you will:

  • Support development teams to understand what information they need to accelerate processes or design solutions.
  • Create and update tools used in the build and release pipeline.
  • Evaluate new technologies & techniques to improve overall practices.
  • Refine engineering practices, standards, and tooling.
  • Maintain day to day operations of Production and Staging environments.
  • Drive automation and reliability at all levels.

To be successful in this role, it’s important to have the following skills:

  • Experienced in designing, building and managing large scale infrastructure in AWS, including one or more configuration management tools for automation provisioning (Ansible).
  • Familiarity with Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, EC2, RDS.
  • Familiar with Linux & MacOS as development environments
  • Preferably familiar with Ruby on Rails & Elixir + Phoenix Framework & PWA
  • Experience with coding in Python, Ruby, Bash, Nodejs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL Databases

You are the front-end engineer for our team. You represent the company. We want someone who can work with various teams in Fave. We used web technologies throughout our ecosystem. You will craft our web, mobile web, and our mobile application. We want someone like you, who can make the web a better place

Responsibilities

  • Command the CSS monster. Magically turn Sketch design into beautiful web layout.
  • Build a frictionless web to convert users. You should make all different browsers, and platforms obey your command.
  • React fast with React. We work with various technologies, but our front-end mainly on React. You can pick it up easily.
  • Push our web technologies to the bleeding edge. You are not afraid to make our web PWA ready and make us look nice on Google Search with AMP.
  • Commitment to do better. Commitment to grow together with us. You have to be a better person than you are now after few months with us.

We don’t care about official or formal education. What we care about is you can handle your work. Show us how you conquer the design. How you make the web a better and beautiful place.

  • Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules

As a Mobile Engineer at Fave, you will work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner facing new products, platforms and features.

As a Mobile Engineer, you will:

  • Be a key member of a team that builds reusable Android / iOS software components for Fave platform.
  • Create solid implementations and write clear, maintainable code and design documents for Android or iOS.
  • Monitor the performance of the live apps and continuously improve them on both code and experience level.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

To be successful in this role, it’s important to have the following skills:

  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • 3+ years of experience in developing native Android or iOS Applications.
  • Experience in API design, SDK architecture, and mobile software lifecycle development practices.
  • Experience in developing application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality.
  • Strong UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work.
  • Strong attention to detail on every line of code, every unit test, and every commit message Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules.
