HYDRAULIC OPERATING ENGINE PROCESSED BY DOUBLE ACTING PISTON USING WATER AS FLUID.

BASIC COMPONENTS :

• Two pressure meter (Range 200psi)
• Control valve (Four pieces of 1/2’’)
• Non-return valve (1/2’’)
• Water vessel
• Air vessel
• Teflon tape
• Nipple (1/2’’)
• Nylon pipe
• Jubilee clip
• Double acting piston.

THEORY & ITS THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION:

• The hydraulic controllers are designed to provide hydraulic control whenever required. The controller operates on the basic four way valve or spool valve.
• The double acting piston of the spool valve is moved by using water. The water flow is controlled by the air pressure(air vessel).

MOTIVATION OF PROJECT:

The basic motivation of the project is to develop of PowaCycle. In PowaCycle the main power source is Lithium Polymer Battery. In this project, is going to implement a new approach. But this technology is quite different from the traditional technology of ”PowaCycle”.

TECHNICAL CHALLENGES AND IT’S OVERCOMES :

• The major technical challenge is that design the double acting piston. To make double acting piston free and to adjust the spool valve are hard works, to make the piston leak-proof is our main technical challenge.

NON-TECHNICAL CHALLENGES & IT’S OVERCOMES :

The workshop is far away from our institute, so it is a bit troublesome work . The components are not available properly in industrial markets, so it’s a hazard to find these components.

APPLICATION :

This type of engine can be used in cycle, domestic machinery etc.
