Postdoctoral scientist in genomics of microbial symbionts
Nicole Dubilier, Director of the Symbiosis Department at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology in Bremen, Germany (http://www.mpi-bremen.de/en/Department_of_Symbiosis.html) invites applications for a postdoctoral scientist to work on the genomics of chemosynthetic symbionts. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in microbial physiology, geomicrobiology, or symbiosis research. Experience in comparative genomics or metagenomics is essential, as are solid bioinformatics skills. Experience in transcriptomics or proteomics would be an advantage. The candidate should have completed a PhD degree in Microbiology or related field with excellent skills in spoken and written English.
