RAV Tower

RAV Tower

Wizard Tower Guildlines

Zones

  • Library, graveyard and exile zones are shared zones. "Your" library or graveyard is your "opponents" library and vice-versa.

Setup

  • Players start with 25 life
  • Place the entire library in the center of the table.
  • A card's "owner" is the last player to place it on the battlefield
  • Cards the graveyard to do not have an owner.
  • Cards in exile are owned by all players.
  • When a player is elimited, their hand and permanents are _completely removed from the game (Do not place them in the graveyard or exile)

RAV Tower Deck Building Guidelines

  • Card art must be set on or inspired by the Ravnica plane
  • Singleton
  • Maximum one instance of each legendary character
  • No Planeswalkers

All players share a single, shared library and a single graveyard.

Each player draws 3 cards. Staring with the first player, each player places any number of cards on the bottom of the library and draws that many cards.

Reveal 5-7 cards from the top of the deck and place them into the Draft Zone.

During your draw step, draft a card from the Draft Zone and draw a card. If there are no cards to draft, reveal a new set of cards and place them into the Draft Zone.

You may play any card in your hand as a land by placing it face down on the battlefield. It becomes: Wizard's Tower - Basic Land - {T}: Add one mana of any color.

Drafting: • The number of draft cards is equal to 1 plus a multiple of the number of players. • For 2-3 players, 7 cards works well • Use 5 cards for 4 players • Use 6 cards for 5 players, etc • The idea is the first player gets the first and last pick of a draft and the next player over get's a fresh set of cards to draft on their second turn.

Fuzzy Rules: • A card's "owner" is whoever last played it from their hand or graveyard. • If a land changes zones it flips face up. • "your", "a", "opponent's" library or graveyard are interchangeable.

Eliminating Players: • When a player is eliminated, exile their hand and all permanetns they control. • Do not change the draft order. Instead exile a random card during what would have been that players draw step.

Play notes: • 30 life works well so far • Lifelink and hexproof are very powerful and should be used sparringly. • Avoid complicated cards like transform.
