Ingredients: | |
For fish Marinade: | |
1/4 tsp turmeric | |
5 cloves garlic crushed | |
some ginger crushed/grated | |
1 Tbsp tandoori chicken masala | |
1 Tbsp coriander power | |
5 green chillies chopped | |
lemon juice - from one lemon | |
2 Tbsp olive oil | |
1 Tbsp red chilli powder | |
Salt | |
Chopped salmon/fish of your choice. Mix all the ingredients together and marinate the fish pieces in it. Let it rest for 1-2 hours. | |
Fish curry: | |
Marinated fish | |
1/2 cup grated coconut | |
1 large onion | |
2 small tomatoes | |
1 Tbsp corrainder powder | |
1/4 tsp turmeric powder | |
1 Tbsp red chilli powder | |
1 tbsp pepper | |
1 Tbsp Tamarind paste | |
Salt | |
- Pour some oil into a pan and on low flame toast the grated coconut till it turns golden brown. Set aside. | |
- In same pan, add some mustard seeds. Wait till you hear crackling sound. | |
- Add dried red chilies, bay leaves, ginger and garlic. | |
- Add the onion and stir and wait till onion turns translucent. | |
- Add the tomatoes, and salt, pepper, chill powder, coriander powder and turmeric. | |
- Wait till the tomatoes cook and become really soft. | |
- Add the tamarind paste and the roasted coconut and stir. | |
- add in your fish pieces. Stir and let it cook for 8 minutes. And your dish is done |
