Ingredients:
For fish Marinade:
1/4 tsp turmeric
5 cloves garlic crushed
some ginger crushed/grated
1 Tbsp tandoori chicken masala
1 Tbsp coriander power
5 green chillies chopped
lemon juice - from one lemon
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp red chilli powder
Salt
Chopped salmon/fish of your choice. Mix all the ingredients together and marinate the fish pieces in it. Let it rest for 1-2 hours.
Fish curry:
Marinated fish
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 large onion
2 small tomatoes
1 Tbsp corrainder powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 Tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp pepper
1 Tbsp Tamarind paste
Salt
- Pour some oil into a pan and on low flame toast the grated coconut till it turns golden brown. Set aside.
- In same pan, add some mustard seeds. Wait till you hear crackling sound.
- Add dried red chilies, bay leaves, ginger and garlic.
- Add the onion and stir and wait till onion turns translucent.
- Add the tomatoes, and salt, pepper, chill powder, coriander powder and turmeric.
- Wait till the tomatoes cook and become really soft.
- Add the tamarind paste and the roasted coconut and stir.
- add in your fish pieces. Stir and let it cook for 8 minutes. And your dish is done
