CODE OF CONDUCT

Objective:

  • My main objective is to build a community where there is no harassment and each and every member of the community is benefited from it. I will ensure that each and every member of the community gets the required platform to how case his/her skills and excel in their future.

Scope:

  • The scope of this Code of Conduct applies not only within the community, but also to each and every individual who represents the community in public areas in any platform.

Enforcement Responsibilities:

  • The community leaders should be responsible to take appropriate steps against any wrong, inappropriate and harmful activities that are against the Code of Conduct.

Enforcement Guidelines:

  • The following are the Enforcement Guidelines that are an integral part of the Code of Conduct:

    • Be trustworthy and honest:

      • While contributing to society and human well being, this principle states that professionals and members, both individually and collectively, function towards the benefit of society, its members, and the environment surrounding them.
    • Be inclusive, fair and indiscriminate:

      • It is the responsibility of every member to realise the values of equality, tolerance, respect for others, and justice govern this principle and must be maintained at all costs. Prejudicial discrimination on the basis of age, colour, disability, ethnicity, family status, gender identity, military status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other inappropriate factor is an explicit violation of the Code.
    • Be respectful:

      • Mutual respect between the members of the community is essential for effective functioning, yielding the best results. and avoiding conflicts. Respect the work in order to produce new ideas, inventions, creative works, and computing artifacts.
    • Avoid Harassment and Harm:

      • ‘Harm’ implies adverse consequences, particularly when they are significant, unjust and intolerable. The list including unjustified physical or mental injury, uncalled-for obliteration or exposure of information, threats of violence, discriminatory jokes and language, unjustified damage to property, reputation, and the environment, is inexhaustible.
    • Respect privacy:

      • Respect the privacy of each individual and community at all costs. The responsibility of respecting privacy applies to computing professionals in a particularly profound way. The collection, monitoring, and exchange of personal information quickly, inexpensively, and often without the knowledge of the people affected is enabled by Technology and thus, all members and communities should become conversant in the various definitions and forms of privacy and should understand the rights and responsibilities associated with the collection and use of personal information.

      • Only the minimum amount of personal information necessary should be collected in a system, while the retention and disposal periods for that information should be clearly defined, enforced, and communicated to data subjects.

  • Ensure that the public good is the central concern during all professional/general work.

  • People—including users, colleagues, and others affected directly or indirectly—should always be the central concern when evaluating and carrying out tasks.

  • Create opportunities for members to grow as professionals.

  • Strive to achieve high quality and standards of professional conduct, and ethical practice.

  • Articulate, encourage, and evaluate attainment of social responsibilities by members of the organization or group.

  • Pursue well defined policies that are consistent with the Code.

Violations of the Code of conduct

  • Violations of the code will result in appropriate disciplinary measures or remedial action adhering to the community’s Code of Ethics.

  • A temporary suspension will be issued to the member who will violate any of the rules, and can lead to permanent ban if not cooperated with the community.
