Prominence of Many High Reputes, also known as Twohorn, is a senior Administrator and formerly serving General of the Shk Military Wing and Space and Exploration Wing. They currently serve as General of Staff of of The Military. They are currently the longest and oldest serving Shk generals in the species history.
Prominence gained their nickname during the Pro-Monarchist rebellions, where in 4133 they took Hill 413, and secured a decisive victory that scattered Pro-Monarchist forces. It eventually entered the public lexicon to mean 'Given a task to intentionally make you fail, but succeeding at it through sheer persistence.'
They were promoted to General of Staff of the Space and Exploration Division of the Military Wings in 4189 as part of their retirement. During their tenure they saw the first successful space vessel and moon landing, and were the first to initiate First Contact properly with the Human Greeter, Yang Wenjie.
Following the First Contact event, Prominence was able to gain control of the Office of Bursary, the Office of Arms, and the Office Recruitment from the Military Wings. With these titles they were able to reorganize the Military Wings to become subordinate to the Space and Exploration Division, which was subsequently renamed The Military.
Prominence was born in the Shk calendar year of 4109 in what is now District 13 to Doctor of Many High Reputes and Lawbringer of Many High Reputes. They were educated in the Capital University Schools, though dropped out in the 4120s due to the Monarch Revolution.
Prominence joined the then reorganising Shk Military Wing in 4122 after lying about their age (the minimum age for service was 25). They served as a foot-soldier until 4124 by being promoted to lieutenant and then captain in 4125.
After the Monarch Revolution was over in 4126, Prominence was forced to leave the Military Wing due to the Successor Parliament's 'Self Denying Decree', which forced the resignation of all military personnel above the rank of Captain. He went back into education and completed a degree in Lawgiving from the Capital University in 4129.
They managed to successfully argue their way back into the Military Wing later that year as a Colonel, after convincing a tribunal that the 'Self Denying Decree' did not apply to them, as their military contract had been rendered void due to falsifying their age.
In 4130, Prominence would be sent into the Thousands-Districts in order to quell Pro-Monarchist rebellions, and then deployed in the 4132 Hundreds-Districts Rebellion. Their actions in both theatres, especially to take the infamous Hill 413, would earn them the nickname of "Twohorn" in the public imagination.
In 4135 they were promoted to rank of General, a rank they would hold for the next 54 Shk Years (85.234 Terra Years). During this time, they would be sent around the world by the Parliament to quell various Redistricting Rebellions, riots, and disputes. All of which only added to their "Twohorn" persona.
Prominence became General of Staff of the newly formed Space and Exploration Division in 4189 during a Military Wing Tribunal Vote, after being forced into running as the only candidate by both the Parliament and Tribunal.
With almost no oversight into how it was run other than to achieve space flight to the moon, Prominence personally organised the division into flexible, skills-based organisation with firm central authority laying solely with them.
