- Use a tool to export the SVG as multiple paths (instead of other shapes) e.g. Figma, Inkscape
- Flatten the SVGs using some basic JavaScript: http://jsfiddle.net/J65HM/ (you can extend this for more than two paths)
- Optimize the SVG using SVGO: https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/
