KC Multi Rotor RGB LED Wi-Fi Gate Instructions

Powering on the gates.

Connect the gates to power via the micro USB port, using USB battery packs, wall adapters, etc. They should immediately light up with the last pattern/animation they were set to.

Controlling the gates via Wi-Fi:

  1. Connect the AP to power via the wall adapter.
  2. A short while after the AP is powered on, you should be able to see and connect to KCMR_GATES on a laptop, tablet, or phone.
    • No password is required to connect to the AP's wireless network.
    • No Wi-Fi internet access will be available while connected to KCMR_GATES.
  3. Go to http://192.168.0.1 in a web browser.
  4. If that page doesn't load, try the next number: http://192.168.0.2, http://192.168.0.3, etc.
  5. If you can't find any pages that load, try the steps below to connect to the AP admin page.
  6. Once you find one gate's web page, you can control it directly via the controls on the page.
    • Turn it on/off
    • Adjust the brightness
    • Change the pattern, etc.
  7. The gate controller's ID should appear towards the top of the page: Race Gate XXXX. This ID is on a label on the controller, if you need to find a specific gate.
  8. To control multiple gates at once, click the Multi link at the top of the screen.
  9. Click the Discover button. The gates should start showing up in the list.
  10. The controls on the page will control all of the gates selected in the list.

Connecting to the AP admin page

If you can't find any gates on the network, you can connect to the AP admin page:

  1. On a laptop, tablet, or phone connected to KCMR_GATES, go to http://192.168.0.254 or http://tplinkap.net in a web browser.
  2. In the TP-Link web page, tnter the username and password from the label on the bottom of the AP, and log in.
  3. In the side-bar menu, click DHCP, the DHCP Client List.
  4. You should see a list of the connected gates with their IP addresses.
  5. Open a new web browser tab or window, and go to http://192.168.0.1, or one of the addresses in the list.

Troubleshooting

If any of the gates do not show up in the list, try disconnecting and reconnecting power to it.
