Hello,

I'm trying to do the same exercice, but unfortunately the same problem happens on my. RootPage doesn't work if we inlcude inside of the firebase.auth().onAuthStateChanged().

For the previous version taht i had:

af.auth.subscribe( user =>{
if (user)
{
this.rootPage = SlideMenuPage;
}
else
{
this.rootPage = LoginPage;
}
})

works perfectly, but this case af is making reference to public af: AngularFire.
Any idea about how we can solve the problem?

kind regards

@component({
template: <ion-nav [root]="rootPage"></ion-nav>

export class MyApp
{
@ViewChild(Nav) nav: Nav;
......
firebase.auth().onAuthStateChanged((user) =>
{
if (user)
this.nav.setRoot(SlideMenuPage);
else
this.nav.setRoot(LoginPage);
});
