Jayshai's San Andreas Modpack

2.23 (April 23 2024)


A modpack for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to bring the game's atmosphere back to life on PC whilst keeping it faithful and true to the original.

Received a DMCA takedown notice so I'll no longer be able to provide the files here anymore.

After an constant list of issues and bugs with the last build, all the included mods are listed above for you to add manually and try out for yourself. I don't have the interest or time to counter this or find any solution so this will stay as is for the future.

Thanks for those who downloaded, aswell as helped with suggestions & troubleshooting.

Optional Mods

  • Project Props - Makes the atmosphere of the game look much better but tanks FPS.
  • Story Mode 2.0 - Improves/changes several elements and aspects of the story mode but find areas of the mod take away from the original so it's optional.
  • RZL-Trainer - CLEO trainer/cheat menu mod, with more than 200 thousand lines of code. Not included due to potential mission crashes caused by this.

  • Increased traffic cruise speed as traffic was looking pretty slow on the motorways.

  • Number plates blank/white on Police Bike due to clash between ImVehFT HD plates and another mod. Disabled for now.
  • Poor vehicle interior textures fixed. Changed modloader priority.
  • Removed Proper Characters Retex HD as it was clashing also and is already included in RoSA and Original Peds Vary. This and a few other tweaks now fixes the mission crashing, particularly for 'Cop Wheels'.
  • Fixed weapons appearing as white blank texture.
  • Bike Air Reaction removed due to weird anims after falling off bike.
  • Added Improved HD Displays.
  • Removed Proper Characters Retex HD as it was clashing with Cop Wheels also and is already included in RoSA and Original Peds Vary.
  • FPS counter turned off by default.
  • Added FxsFuncs.

Issues & Bugs

Having issues? Add CrashInfo to your root game folder and SCRLog to your modloader folder, and provide the log or error code in the comments. I will not be responding to any comments that list something doesn't work or crashes without providing the error logs.

  • CrashInfo - Necessary to detect most crash issues that aren't CLEO-related.
  • SCRLog - Required to troubleshoot the majority of CLEO mods.

Note: SCRLog will reduce framerate by a lot so not recommended to keep installed once fixed.

Hey @Like-A-Dragon - Thanks for those suggestions. I haven't got time to make and test these changes anymore so this project is pretty done for now and this thread can be used for support unless any significant updates come out and I'm ready to start modding it again.

In the meantime, if you'd can provide a version with those issues fixed or amended, I will post it under my version as a community-fixed version of the modpack.

@jayshai - Happy to help. I can provide you with my build, but there all the mods are sewn into the game, without Mod Loader! But nothing prevents you from adapting it to yours, using mods from your list, the same CLEO mods with texture files that do not work without Mod Loader.

Just want to ask if this mod will work on low-end laptops without a dedicated graphics card. But has a 16gb ram, 256SSD core i5 6200U processor

@kfdosu Unfortunately no, you need a discrete graphics card at least GTX 1070 level!

I was in the middle of doing the same as you (building everything directly into the game vs modloader) but since my son was born I haven't had the time and I've been dying to play a good version of this game for nostalgia sake

@Beary-Handsome Here's a link to Google Drive (packaged in a 7-Zip archive)
P. S. The default language in the game is Russian, in the settings you can choose English, or rename the file folder “text” from “american.gxt” to “spanish.gxt” and vice versa. So that the default language at startup is English!
Alternatively, replace all files “fonts” and “text” at your discretion.

Installed the modpack and deleted weapon + car mods in order to put others alongisde a weapons sound mod,
Seems like if the taxi is replaced by another model, the vehicle mod Im using didnt replaced it, any idea?

Also, I deleted the DrugDealer fix mod but I can`t not only find a dealer in Ganton, neither in the whole map instead.
I tried downloading the mod on my own and ussing the file to revert but anything yet.

Both of you need to learn how to read the room lol. Jayshai has mostly abandoned this project because he has no time to work on it.

And yes I would know; he was a former group member in my group who is building a GTA SA modpack that we plan to release 7 months - 1 year from now. We had to let him go since he said that he was busy with his real life responsibilities + he almost never replies or chats in our group chat.

I suggest you guys build and tweak your own modpack instead of relying on someone else to do it for you. No one's gonna help you guys here because everyone here just wants a free giveaway of the modpack without having to do anything.

I have my GTA SA with a bunch of mods I installed and tested myself, but downloaded this modpack because I thinked "If the guy even uploaded it to github is because he is pretty much running it with no bugs" but so, you are here to tell me OP is just a prick who builded a GTA SA full of crashy mods, then stopped supporting his own modpack and people stills struggling with this?

Would you read a full thread before clicking "download"?
If the project is dead, the post should be archived or whatever Github do to these kind of post, instead of still there causing bugs.

As people must do copy of their games before modding, modders / modpackers should give up uploading things wich are not working or breaking games. People who download this do it because of saving some time, and in the end those people loose double time than moding their own games.

There at least 2 good videos telling how to mod / priority SA and managing to play the game with no bugs, and yet this dead modpack stills there. People must report this post so, if this is outdated and full of crashes and 0 support.

It's time to delete the modlist folder and return to the modlist I was modding myself.

  • Your anger and frustration isn't gonna change the facts my bro. I simply stated facts and you lashed out like I'm committing some sort of harm to you or anyone.
  • So many posts in the internet, regardless if it's GitHub or somewhere else, don't get reported regardless if it's outdated with zero support. You say that is if it's your first time on the internet. Get used to modding projects being abandoned. It's more common than you think.
  • I know for a fact that this is abandoned, which is why I'm finding people to recruit here instead. And don't tell me my post doesn't work; we actually recruited two people that we found randomly here in GitHub. Go check justGesha's GTA SA GitHub and you'll see my old messages there.

I advise you to take some time to think before emotionally reacting and lashing out.

STATUS: Slots are still OPEN (updated July 19, 2024)

We're looking for AT LEAST 3-4 people to recruit to help us modify and tweak our modpack for GTA SA.

Our current modpack has already been thourougly tested and everything works properly without major issues and only a very few super minor issues:

  • the modpack has at least around 140+ mods active and running with 200+ scripts running all at the same time. Everything is already merged and pre-configured to work, including huge mods like Urbanize and other mods that require both Open Limit Adjuster & Fastman92 Limit Adjuster.
  • All mods are updated to their latest versions until June 16, 2024 (CLEO 4.4.4, the latest April 2024 updates of both ROSA Project Evolved and Urbanize that came directly from Junior_Djjr and Jessica Natalia's Patreon pages, the latest patches for Essentials Pack, all updated versions of all mods from MixMods Discord server in the mod showroom, all mods exclusively found on MixMods Discord server etc.)
  • all mods tested and working, with no weird bugs or glitches present (except for 1 that happens VERY RARELY and very few super minor issues that can't really be fixed as of right now)
  • all story missions + all side missions, minigames, and activities all working properly without issues (finished the game until End Of The Line TWICE and all side missions work + all other side activities like dating all 6 girfriends in the game all work fine)
  • our current modpack successfully runs for as long as 5+ hours with VERY MINIMAL & BARELY NOTICEABLE lagging and ABSOLUTELY NO CRASHES (except from some random crashes at times,, which once again happens VERY RARELY)

^ Despite all of this, we still need help in improving and expanding the modpack even further and push the game experience (and the game engine) to its limits.

Our goal is to create the ultimate modded GTA SA experience with:

  • the improvement, expansion, and addition of gameplay content that would all fit very well into the atmosphere of the game
  • all story missions + all side missions, minigames, and activities all working properly without issues
  • the heavily modded standalone GTA SA modpack being able to run AT LEAST 3 hours & 30 minutes straight without significant lagging and crashes despite having 250+ scripts from mods running at the same time

After everything is finalized and tested, we will then make the modpack freely accessible to the public for download, without paywalls, subscriptions, shady private group membership initiations, or adlinks of any kind.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years old not necessarily in age but more on the person's mental maturity and behavior
    (we have prepared a set of interview questions designed to assess this characteristic for all candidates. Our group heavily prefers to have MATURE & RESPONSIBLE ADULTS as group members.)

  • Has some experience in modding GTA SA. Acceptable skill levels of modding GTA SA is stated below:

    • Beginner level is okay (for as long as you're willing to learn and do research to expand your knowledge and upgrade your modding skills)
    • People with GOOD experience in converting weapons & vehicles to cutscenes so that those new models actually appear in cutscenes properly without issues is PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
    • People with GOOD experience in creating or editing CLEO scripts and ASI plugins is PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
  • Must actually have free time to work on modding GTA SA

  • Must be a team-player who is willing to follow a general consensus in order to keep our work organized and efficient

  • Must be a team-player who is actually open-minded and has a "think-out-of-the-box" approach towards modding GTA SA
    (we have no need for people who still wear their nostalgia glasses on and whose idea of modding GTA SA is to simply to keep almost every aspect of the game to be vanilla without improvements and new content. That would defeat the purpose of our modpack.)

  • Preferrably must be in good health & mental well-being

    • we allow people with certain medical conditions to join for as long as they are capable of delivering consistent effort to contribute even the smallest of contributions at least once every 2 weeks
    • we are much more strict and limiting towards people with mental health conditions because they can potentially cause all sorts of trouble, especially considering the idea of online anonymity. In that regard, we heavily prefer candidates who are of healthy mind & spirit.
  • Must have an attitude of being open to communication towards the group:

    • If you'll be busy for a few days or even weeks, you naturally let people know instead of just randomly disappearing without informing anyone
    • If you have made changes into the modpack or even tweaks you made for a certain mod, you naturally let the group know of your changes instead of recklessly making those changes unannounced.
  • Lastly, and most importantly, the candidate must naturally and authentically possess the capability to act like a decent human being who can empathize with others as well as having the integrity, honesty, patience, & respect to keep themselves and their groupmates out of harm's way. This includes respecting all group members' personal real life information and exercising Data Privacy to its fullest extent AT ALL TIMES as well as respecting their personal circumstances completely free of prejudice and unwarranted judgment.
