TunesPost for app.net

Introducing TunesPost by @jazzychad

Post your currently playing songs to app.net!

As a weekend hack project, I have created a little app for Mac OS 10.6+ that runs up in the status bar and listens to your music along with you. If you use iTunes, Spotify, or Rdio on your Mac, TunesPost will know what is currently playing.

You can login with your app.net account and then allow TunesPost to post what music you are currently listening to. It will never auto-post for you. You will always have to tell it when to post.

If you are using Spotify or Rdio, a link to the current track will also be posted along with the title and artist.

  • Download TunesPost (shasum bf6dd3d4a027406edb05d334dadc758f372acbd2)
  • Unzip the file
  • Move TunesPost.app into your Applications folder
  • Launch, and have fun!

Troubleshooting: if TunesPost doesn't recognize your current song right away, you might need to pause/play your music player to kickstart it. After that, it should automatically update when each new track starts!
