East Bay:
Cheese puffs from gregoire
Pizza from cheese board
Hand pulled noodles from imperial tea court

Bread from acme (particularly the rustic round, the levain, and the walnut currant sticky loaf)

Pizza from golden boy
Chicago-style pizza from little star
Go into House of Nanking and tell them to make you whatever they want. Order the flower tea.

Can't really suggest much for East Bay, but for SF I would suggest:

Pizza Deflina (great people watching) and Goat Hill (great crust) - although I agree Little Star is the bomb
Anything from Nopa, but be aware they have a small menu that changes each night which means possibly only a few vegetarian choices
Ramen from Hapa Raman in the front of the Ferry Building on Thur lunch time or Sat eve's in CoffeeBar (they do vegie)
Tea tasting at vital leaf (another bulk place but does good tasting)
Pies from Peasant Pies
Nothing from North Beach, there are no good restaurants in North Beach

I can think of loads of other places to get good tacos, steaks, fish, etc but it's obviously not for you!
