# Train Score System
This document is to serve as a measurable way of determining the level of service
a train operator has. By creating a tangiable and open way of scruitinising these
companies it is hoped that especially in the UK, service levels will improve.
## Levels
These are the levels that train companies can achieve:
- Poor (0 - 100 points): The train company fails to meet the minimum standard required to operate a basic train service.
- Inadequete (101 - 200 points): The train company meets the minimum viable standard some of the time.
- Good (201 - 300 points): The train company meets the minimum viable standard most of the time.
- Great (301 - 400 points): The train company meets the minimum viable standard most of the time and occasionally goes beyond it.
- Perfect (401 - 500 points): The train company goes beyond the minimum viable standard most of the time.
## Train Service
- [] +5 - Do 90% of trains run without cancellations ?
- [] +5 - Do 90% of the trains arrive within 5 minutes of it's stated destination time ?
- [] +5 - Do 90% of the trains arrive within 5 minutes of it's stated destination time without missing stops or terminating early ?
- [] +5 - When trains are cancelled are customers allowed to travel via an alternative route (London Underground) ?
- [] +5 - When trains are disrupted for a period of time greater than 5 hours is a replacement bus service provided for lines without a fesiable alternative ?
- [] +5 - Are passengers given at least 30 minutes notice before a train is cancelled ?
- [] +5 - When trains are delayed to a passenger's detination by more than 15 minutes is the passenger refunded in accordance to the Passenger Charter ?
- [] +5 - Do passengers with season tickets recieve these refunds ?
- [] +5 - Are refunds automatically processed based on average journey time ?
