Dear Mr. Benton,
It has been brought to our attention that our social studies
class, Ze Fat Cats, has been treated differently than the other
classes in the case of the ropes course. This message is written
not in an act of asking to go out, but why we don't and if we
will. Therefore, we hope you take us seriously and consider our
thoughts.
We happen to know that both the Lactopuses (Lactopi?) and the
Double Rainbow Unicorns have gone out several times because they
are both at least up to the Spiderweb and have had to try
multiple times to complete many of the elements. Ze Fat Cats, on
the other hand, have only gone out twice and have completed the
first two tasks, so you can't say that we are not capable of
completing it and that it is our fault that the other classes are
so far ahead.
Also, now you have lost the excuse that it is too cold in the
morning, because, frankly, it's quite warm and many of us bring
jackets to class anyway. Since it is getting warm, it also means
that there isn't much time until the school year is finished and
we may never have another chance to go on the ropes course. It is
often a comfortable temperature the last half of 2/3 and it stays
pretty much the same through 4/5, so we never saw the argument
against us anyway.
Our class also gets all of our work done and the CRCTs are
over. Since we're not trying to pack in as much information as
possible, we can go through things more thoroughly. The ropes
course distracts us through much of the period and the rest of
the day, so a healthy dose of it would superbly improve our
concentration skills and we will produce more quality work.
If that isn't reason enough for Ze Fat Cats to go out, we also
work very well together. Unlike the Lactopuses who shout at each
other, we accept our class and work with what we have. Remember
Jackson on Nitro-Crossing? He went back across to help Camden and
Erin get across. If we work together so well, why don't we go
outside to exercise that ability? Being cooped up inside drags us
apart ever so slowly and we're sure you wouldn't like that.
So what's the reason we don't go out? We have found a way to
counteract all of your arguments and we wish to have the same
chances as the rest of the social studies classes. Please treat
us equally them and allow us to catch up before it's too
late. This is a matter of teamwork, friendship, and dire urgency.
Sincerely,
Ze Fat Cats
