- 1 loaf of bread
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half & half
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Topping:
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp syrup
- 1 1/3 cup rough chopped pecans
- Grease a 13x9 pan and fill with bread slices
- Beat together eggs, milk, half & half, vanilla, and spices
- Pour mixture over the bread and refrigerate overnight
- Melt the butter and mix in brown sugar and syrup until free of lumps
- Fold in the pecans and spread the topping over the bread
- Bake at 350° for 50 minutes
