Proxmox CIFS Share Mount Wizard Script
#!/bin/bash
# This script is designed to assist in mounting CIFS/SMB shares to a Proxmox LXC container.
# It automates the process of creating a mount point on the Proxmox VE (PVE) host, adding the
# CIFS share to the /etc/fstab for persistent mounts, and configuring the LXC container to
# recognize the share. This script is intended for use on a Proxmox Virtual Environment and
# requires an LXC container to be specified that will access the mounted share.
#
# Prerequisites:
# - Proxmox Virtual Environment setup.

Execute parallel processes in arbitrary number of tmux panes

My very fast Bash prompt, which shows git branch, virtualenv, and background jobs
# prompt examples:

Checkout github pull requests locally

Locate the section for your github remote in the .git/config file. It looks like this:

[remote "origin"]
	fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
	url = git@github.com:joyent/node.git

Now add the line fetch = +refs/pull/*/head:refs/remotes/origin/pr/* to this section. Obviously, change the github url to match your project's URL. It ends up looking like this:

Replace .bashrc, .bash_profile, .profile, etc. with something much more clean, consistent, and meaningful. Now a repo: https://github.com/josephwecker/bashrc_dispatch

# This gist is slow and is missing .bashrc_once
# Use the one in the repo instead! https://github.com/josephwecker/bashrc_dispatch

# Are you tired of trying to remember what .bashrc does vs .bash_profile vs .profile?

Continuous build on the cheap, using inotify, cmake and a terminal
#!/bin/bash
# Watch paths (given as arguments), automatically build when something changes.
# The script does a couple opinionated things to make my life easier:
#
# * Terminal scrollbuffer is reset before each iteration, simplifying scrolling.
# * I use a filter script to colorize gcc output (clang errors would be nicer).
# * Output is copied to a log file (/tmp/build.log).
# - I open this file in Sublime or vim, which reloads the file on change (each build).
