Project: IdeaBox

Group Member Names: Juan Diego Jimenez, Lindsay Parker

Project Expectations: What does each group member hope to get out of this project?

  • Juan - Learn to use Github (conflict resolution, issue management, branching). Understand persistent storage.
  • Lindsay - Continue to stay up to speed with class topics. Have a decent to solid understanding of all code in the project.

Goals and expectations:

  • Aim to complete base project requirements. Work on extensions with any extra time.

Team strengths:

  • Well-balanced individual strengths.

How to overcome obstacles:

  • Communicate with each other when things aren't okay. Set a time limit at 45 minutes to ask for help if we're stuck on something.

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually?):

  • Together as available before class and afternoons in person until 5:30p. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings remotely.

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open?):

  • Communicate via Slack.

Abilities Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

  • Juan - Desire to improve in git and Github. Understand persistent storage.
  • Lindsay - Desire improvement in JavaScript (especially Event Bubbling and Delegation if appropriate), ARIA.

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

  • As the team assigns, we'd both like to understand the functionality each is building.

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests):

  • We'll be using branches and following the workflow as detailed in class.

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

  • Juan - Maintain a good communication throughout the project. Give honest and respectful feedback.
  • Lindsay - Give kind and constructive feedback early, before any problems become too large or too personal.

Tools:

  • We'll be using Trello to manage tasks for this project.
