A quick recipe for lemon sugar cookies

LEMON SUGAR COOKIES

Makes approximately 20 cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • half of a lemon, juiced
  • half of a lemon, zested
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter and sugar for 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  • Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, remove, sprinkle with sugar.
