새 Mac 을 구성할 때, 항상 기존의 자료를 그대로 옮겨오지 않고 새로 구성을 하는 편이다. 기존 Mac 에 쌓여있는 여러가지 쓸모없는 데이터를 없앨 이만한 기회가 따로 없기 때문이다.

새로운 Mac 을 수령하면 설치하는 기본적인 설정과 어플리케이션들을 나열해 본다.

System Preference

  • Keyboard
    • Keyboard
      • Set Key Repeat to Fast
      • Set Delay Until Repeat to Short
      • Modifier Keys…
        • Replace Caps Lock with Control
    • Text
      • Uncheck Use smart quotes and dashes
    • Shortcuts
      • Replace every ^ with ⌘
        • For example, replace Input Sources ’s ^Space with ⌘Space
  • Energy Saver
    • Power Adapter
      • Check Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off
