Describe yourself

  1. Why do you want to work here?
  2. What can you do for this company?
  3. What are your key strengths or skills?
  4. What is your greatest weakness?

General technology question

  1. What did you learn yesterday/this week?
  2. What excites or interests you about coding?
  3. If you could master one technology this year, what would it be?
  4. What is a recent technical challenge you experienced and how did you solve it?
  5. What do you want to learn in the future?
  6. Do you spend some of your spare time learning, contributing to open source projects?

Individual Questions

  1. Where do you see yourself in five years?
  2. Tell me about a time when you had to overcome a major obstacle that stood in the way of you accomplishing a goal or commitment.
  3. How do you go about continuing to develop your skills and knowledge?
  4. What role does your manager or supervisor play in your personal motivation at work?
  5. Describe a conflict you were involved in at work. How did you resolve the conflict? What happened next with that coworker or team?
  6. Describe the work environment or culture in which you are most productive and happy.
  7. What is your preferred work style? Do you prefer working alone or as part of a team? What percentage of your time would you allocate to each, given the choice?
  8. Have you ever broken the rules to get the job done?
  9. How do you see your job (in general) evolve in the next decade?
