Zephyr has included a Bluetooth Host stack since its public debut in 2016. Over the years, the stack has been extensively tested and maintained. Particular focus has been put on conformance testing that’s required for declaring a qualified design. Until now, however, one important piece had been missing: an official Bluetooth Qualification listing.
The Zephyr Project is pleased to announce that, starting with Zephyr 4.4, it is committing resources to complete a Bluetooth Qualification listing for the Host stack with each stable Zephyr release. This marks an important milestone for the project and makes it significantly easier for developers and product teams to build qualified Bluetooth products with Zephyr.
By referencing the Zephyr Bluetooth Host qualification as part of a product’s own qualification design, there is no need to perform additional testing or provide test evidence for the features covered by the Host qualification listing.
