"From the start our experience was bad There was only one person on check in so we had to queue Having been allcated our rooms we had to change them as we had specified adjacent or interconnecting rooms which they failed to do We then had to queue up again for the one person still on reception and 45 minutes later were allocated 2 adjacent rooms But one of the rooms had a smell of drains which I reported and which the very discourteous duty manager Thalia refused to deal with In fact she told me several times that I was wrong The rooms were small the beds very soft and the shower and toilet were part of the bedroom The smell of drains was coming from the shower For such an expensive hotel this was unacceptable especially the way the duty manager treated her customers I don t think I have ever encountered a more unpleasant manner in my many years of travelling"
"On arrival we only had 30 minutes to get ready We were told by reception that our room had been upgraded so we though great However when we entered the room we found a wet room which was meant for a disabled person the sink was tiny and right on top of the toilet which was very difficult to get around When I complained the next morning the young lady on reception just said oh and that was it The gentleman next to her asked what was the problem and when I explained to him also the fact we didn t complain the night before because we didn t have time it was just left I know you have no control over your guests also but the room next to us had their TV on quite loud until the early hours which didn t help matters So all in all what was supposed to be a nice relaxing time turned out to be a very disappointing experience and I certainly will not be recommending your hotel or returning back any time soon"
"The room had a damaged shower drain which meant the smell was horrendous When brought to management attention in arrival it was suggested this was down to cleaning products There were no other rooms available so we had to live with it When we went to use the hotel bar in the evening we found out that they were running a private function that completely took over the hotel so we went out instead There was also supposed to be an iPad in the room too but after 3 times of asking they never unlocked the screen on it In the end when we came to leave and settle we had to fight to get money off for the incredibly poor service and a room that stunk of swewage It wasn t until I produced a video of the floor tiles in the shower venting smelly liquid from their cracks were we given 20 off a 300 room which in my opinion with all the arguing that we had to do and as a customer with the hotel manager was still not enough We would never stay there again"
