What role does empathy play in your life and how has it helped you?

  • Empathy has helped me in personal relationships. It has allowed me to make a deeper connection with family, friends and my boyfirend. Since I am a good listener and am able to empathize, I beleive I am seen as someone people can come to for help or advice or just to talk. I am not cold or distant and I am able to be emotional about something someone else is going through.

Checklists can be useful in school, at work and in your personal life. What do you plan to improve upon while at Turing?
  • Technically- I want to learn to code, to pick up new systems easily, to be more efficient with keyboard shortcuts, to stay organized on my laptop rather than using several methods at once (sticky notes, phone, dry erase board, and computer), and to learn more about technology in general. Other- I'd like to learn more about the tech world and how I am going to fit in, learn more about the ethics piece I've heard mentioned at Turing and social responsibility, I am excited to meet new people and hear their
