Boo Sitting (March 15-19th) 15th: Afternoon/PM 16th: AM/Afternoon/PM 17th: AM/PM 18th: AM/PM 19th: AM/PM
COMMANDS:
- If you aren't firm in your commands, he will not listen to you - Say them sharply and semi-loudly
- Do not hit Boo to reprimand him
- Reprimand ("HEY", not "NO", I messed that up when he was learning)
- Can sit ("SIT")
- Can lay down ("DOWN")
- Can stay ("STAY", generally for about 30 seconds)
- Can shake ("SHAKE", put your hand out while he's sitting)
- Can stand up ("UP", put your hand at your eye level and up while he's sitting)
FOOD:
- 1.25 cups 2x/day
- No more than 5 smallish treats
- No more than 1 rawhide/regular bone/day
- Unlimited water
- Boo gets weird around treats - he will move away from your petting and focus on the treat. I swear he still likes you.
- DO NOT indulge his begging for food. Absolutely no human food
TOYS:
- Large & rubber is preferred
- Nothing fuzzy (he will rip it apart and destroy it, leaving a mess and possible choking hazard)
- Nothing small that he can choke on
- DO NOT let him have a bone/toy in his kennel at night or alone
WALKING:
- ALWAYS on leash, never leash free unless inside with doors closed
- Always wears harness, never just collar
- Bring pink rubber thing with you, has poop bags
- Boo may bark/get excited/pull & be rowdy around other dogs - He will never bite/hurt them, but may get really excited
- Hold him close while crossing streets
- Walk him 3x/day (short bathroom walks) AM/AFTERNOON/PM on week-ends
- Walk him 2x/day (short bathroom walks) AM/PM on week-days
- Make sure Boo is at my apartment on the week-days by 1pm, and he'll be gone on a walk until, at the latest, 6pm
- Hang up his leash on the front pegs where you found it so the dog walker can find the leash
DRIVING:
- Boo will leave fur and drool, sorry ;_;
- He gets kinda nervous so he may try to crawl in the front seat if he's in the back
- If he's in the front, he may try to lay on you - feel free to push him off or say "HEY"
BATHROOM:
- Bring pink baggies
- He starts running back and forth when he's about to poop, pls laugh at him
- He generally poops 2x/day, definitely in the AM, sometimes afternoon/PM for the other
- Needs to go outside 3x/day, more (for safety) if he's meeting people/new dogs (he gets excited)
HANGING OUT WITH/SLEEPING/LEAVING BOO:
- When Boo is left alone at my apartment, close my door and his kennel
- DO NOT leave Boo alone anywhere but my apartment
- When Boo is sleeping at my apartment, lock him in his kennel
- When Boo is sleeping at your apartment, close your bathroom and room door, and expect pacing/possible cuddles. Make sure anything he could chew on/eat/destroy/choke on is put away
- Feel free to not indulge Boo when he's being needy. Ignore, and if being rude, say "HEY"
- If he acts especially crazy, it may mean he needs to go to the bathroom really badly
- Boo will try to go on your furniture - couches, beds. If you don't want him to, push him off and say "HEY"
- Boo isn't a huge barker, but do not encourage barking if it happens
