Clean Coders Collaborative

Welcome to the Clean Coders Collaborative!

Introduction

Clean Coders Collaborative is a meetup group focused on exploring the principles of creating better software and is proud of the global nature of the meetup and the software developers from around the world who collaborate in a weekly meetup and at any other time!

The collaborative is a safe space where programmers may come for help without judgement.

Robert C. “Uncle Bob” Martin is a leader in software development who consolidated and codified the principles of good software architecture and created the term “clean code”. Much of the earlier work of Bob and his contemporaries is sometimes convoluted to follow. Bob’s later distillation of the most important concepts into the SOLID principles, along with the DRY principle defined by Andy Hunt and Dave Thomas, are the perhaps the easiest framework to start with.

During the weekly meetups this group follows videos by Uncle Bob and other leaders about good programming and techniques such as test-driven development. The real focus is on discussions of the relationship between these ideas and the fundamental principles, coding questions, and program code provided by members.

Participants are free to critique other members code in peer reviews. We encourage participants to bring their own code to talk about, especially if they are having a problem with the architecture or building a clean implementation.
