I'm up with a product idea.
I need three things to get it atleast to the nearest prototype version.

  • Android Smartphone - My software is going to fiddle with lots of hardware features, making a Emulator just not sufficient.
  • Wifi-Router - The software's based on Wifi-Direct feature of the platform, and I will definitely need access to a wifi-network
  • A Processor - My Pentium 4 isn't responding well to my computational needs since recent times. It's good enough for a typical webdev environment or a standard desktop software development, but it couldn't take too much more than a single instance of eclispe running. I'm definitely going to need this one.

All the above together is going to cost upto a 10000INR, which I'm seeing as an investment that I couldn't afford.
Since the software is targetted at big restuarant corporations, even if I could get a couple of clients, its gonna be making a small fortune for me.

The thing I'm worried about, is getting there first. I know the fact that when I'm starting to work upon an idea, there are atleast a hundred others working on the same idea across the planet. So apparently, getting there first is everything.

I need to earn a 10000 bucks with no much time. I have to come up with something.

Home is not a good place to look to. They are already starting to see the lameness out of me, especially because I'm passed out of college and staying there without a job. Telling them I want to work on something that they won't understand and asking for money, is not a good idea.

Friends might help. But again, making friends as business investors messes up a lot of things. I don't want that to happen.

I have to raise it on my own. One look into freelancer.com and it's intimidating to see the no. of bids on a project. That isn't going get me anywhere.

I have to do it, on my own. Somehow.
