We’re looking for someone to help us craft the future of the 99designs.com platform and help us grow to support multiple products across multiple countries. We’re looking for someone who thrives in self-driven environments and who writes test-driven, maintainable and scalable code.

Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable web applications in PHP, Ruby and Go
- Work closely with other developers in small teams to develop our core products
- Serve as a mentor for junior engineers and peers.
- Analyze and constantly improve application performance.
- Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement proactively
Required skills and experience The ideal candidate will have experience with most or all of the following:
- 5+ years with a language (preferably PHP/Ruby), an interest in other languages
- Test-driven development
- Performance
- Git / DVCS
- Experience with several large frameworks, and ability to rationalize what’s good and bad about each
- A love of open-source, building on the shoulders of giants
