PHP Web Developer

We are looking for a friendly, motivated back-end PHP Developer to join our team of contractors. Must be available to work onsite - when necessary.

Desired Experience: PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Wordpress and WooCommerce.

Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with team members effectively a must!!  

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced experience with back-end web development - PHP, PHP frameworks, - LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), AJAX, XML, and other modern web technologies, protocols, and services.
  • Proficiency with MySQL. Writing complex queries and optimizing slow queries.
  • Ability to write code that is clear, well-commented, free of errors and easy to maintain.
  • Debug and troubleshoot layout and scripting issues across a variety of browsers.
  • Experience with PHP frameworks is desired but not a strong requirement.
  • Proficiency with Git and Linux systems.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • 2 to 4 years of PHP/MySQL development experience.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on multiple projects in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral, written, and presentation) in English.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
  • Work to project schedules, timelines and deadlines.
