Ubuntu 18.4 installation for MacAir 2012 - pt-br (brazilian portuguese) language

Install

• Gestures: https://gitlab.com/cunidev/gestures
• Gnome Tweak: sudo apt install gnome-tweak-tool
• Matrix Workspace
  • Install Gnome extensions sudo apt-get install chrome-gnome-shell
  • Open on Firefox: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1485/workspace-matrix/

Config

• Workspace folder
  • Create workspace folder: /home/j/workspace
• Keyboard:
  • Layout ("acentos" / diacritical marks and ç):
    • Settings -> Region & language -> Add an input source -> English (US, alt. intl.)
    • Settings -> Region & language -> Managed Installed languages -> add -> Português Brasil
  • Functions keys without Fn key: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AppleKeyboard#Change_Function_Key_behavior
  • Move main super key (launcher) to right Command: Gnome Tweak -> keyboard -> Overview Shortcut -> Right Super
  • Use left command as left ctrl: Gnome Tweak -> keyboard -> additional layout options -> swap left ctrl win
• Trash icon
  • Set on Dock:

  • Remove from desktop: Gnome Tweak -> desktop -> trash
• Touchpad (download Gestures.conf here)
  • Navigate workspaces: bash gestures, https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2018/09/linux-touchpad-gestures-app
  • Expose: bash gestures
  • Pinch: bash gestures
• Hyper.js
  • Download and open .deb version from https://hyper.is/#installation
  • Set Hyper.js as default terminal: sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator x-terminal-emulator /usr/local/bin/hyper 50

Extras

Create a bootable and usable USB pendrive

• Install mkusb
• Choose option Persistent live
