Hi, | |
What's the unit used in CloudWatch to report instance Network In and Out traffic?
We're comparing the values with those reported by our in-house metrics system,
and while the general shape of the graph is similar, the values don't match.
CloudWatch reports values in "Network In (Bytes)". Is it bytes per minute?
Best regards, | |

Hello, | |
The Network In/Out graphs are displayed in Bytes, and in the UTC time zone.
When you are in the management console, and viewing a list of your instances:
1. Click the instance you wish to review
2. Click the "Monitoring" tab on the bottom frame
3. Click on the graph you wish to view "Max Network Out"
From here, you can custom define the graph's length (from 1 hour to 2 weeks).
Lastly, you can choose the interval at which the graph displays (from 1 minute
intervals, to daily intervals).
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Best regards, |
