Visual Designer (UI/UX)

Vermonster is a product consulting firm focusing on web applications, located
downtown Boston, Massachusetts. We thrive on learning about our customers,
their industry, the challenges they have. We collectively figure out how to
pragmatically use software and web applications to solve their problems. We
have built a reputation over the last 12+ years of having a team with solid
development capabilities and a record launching impactful and successful
products.

We are looking for a UX/UI visual design lead to join our small-but-growing
team.

Ideal candidates should:

* excel at eliciting requirements from customers and obtaining a full picture
  of what should be built and why

* be comfortable working with customers directly and helping shape their
  products and strategy

* be humble and professional; can take and give clear, purposeful feedback

* be able to put together quick prototypes and mockups to test ideas and
  concepts

* be able to take initial mockups to the next level; creating higher
  fidelity designed versions, style guides, and interaction specifications for
  developers to implement

* have leadership skills to inspire a team and manage customer relationships

* love designing user experience and interactions that are intuitive, clean and
  modern

* be familiar with the current landscape of web technologies and know how to
  push the limits of what is possible

Front-end web development tools we use to build products include: HTML5, SCSS,
JavaScript/CoffeeScript, Ember.js, and Backbone.js. Knowing these tools is not
required, but would be a bonus. We make an effort keep abreast of the
ever-changing landscape of tools and techniques in our industry and are looking
for like-minded candidates.
