Q: Can we make this a gated community?

A: No. It would require buying the streets, which would be very expensive and as far as we know the city is not even selling, as the general plan of the city discourages new gated communities.

Q: Do I have to submit a plan for backyard landscaping?

A: Yes, to the HOA.

Q: Why are we considering license plate reader cameras?

A: Because home security cameras are of little use for prosecuting outdoor/street crime if they cannot capture identifying info on the perps

Q: Can these cameras be attached to entry point homes?

A: Not really because it would require at least one more camera. If they can be placed on city/HOA property we can get by on two, which capture on ingress only.

Q: how can I sign up for a community car tag?

A: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/mpublish?EQBCT=7070b9a5f81c40428818ef99ad150e5e

Q: Is there a neighborhood watch?

A: Not formally (as of 11/19/19). Some residents volunteer to make patrol laps at night. If you would like to do so, please let the WhatsApp group know, and -- if patrolling by car -- put your hazard blinkers on. If you see a car going around at night with hazards on, this is the meaning of that.
