Postable Email That didn't come through.
Hey Postable Guys!
First off, love your product, its amazing. You saved my fiancée and I a ton of time. My bride to be created a private Facebook event, posted a link for people to provide their contact info in the event, and within a few weeks we had 100% of the addresses we needed in Postable. We are planning to send our thank you cards with your service after we get married in January.
I hit you guys up on twitter this weekend (https://twitter.com/iAmChrisTruman/status/396698964008771584) regarding a Postable API or remote export options. This weekend, my fiancée and I were at AngelHackLA (https://apphack13la.eventbrite.com/) were building a product we call Wedmail that would make designing and sending Save the Date Postcards as easy as posting to Instagram.
I read through your twitter history and saw that people have been requesting features like RSVP’s or Save the Dates and it sounds like you are already thinking of building some of these features into Postable. We are planning to build out Wedmail so that it is fully featured and ready for the App Store. We are also already working on an iPad and web app design so that we can address more people and provide a better postcard customization experience. We are planning to try this app out on some of our friends who are getting married and really fine tune this experience. We are currently integrating services from Lob.com, Moo.com and Braintree Payments to automate every step of this process. My fiancée and I are focused on building mobile solutions for Wedding pain points as we are familiar with the problems and know a lot of couples our age that are getting married. Obviously maintaining a huge list of contacts is not something most people want to do on their iPhone, which is why we integrated Postable in a hack-y way for our hackathon demo. We think Postable is the best way to get a huge list of people’s physical addresses quickly and simply (and I am sure you do too, but you are a little biased :P) which is why we would love if there was a more mobile friendly way to create a separate group of contacts on a user’s phone from the .vcf file or to be able to fetch that remotely and send those addresses of to a printing provider like Lob or Moo to handle sending the custom designed cards.
Let us know if there are any plans you can share with us or any more info we can give you. You can sign up for our test flight at bit.do/wedmail. We would love to integrate with Postable or create a Postable branded card designing app. We look forward to hearing from you and continuing to use your great product :)
