Partner: Mayu Takeda
Project Reflection
What is one thing that went unusually well during this project?
- I felt like our working styles were really complimentary to one another. Mayu often helped me get unstuck when I was struggling and collaborating with her was very effortless. In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently?
- With respect to covering more ground quickly, I probably would've suggested we broke off and started parallel pathing at an earlier point in the project. Still, I very much benefitted from our paired programming and appreciated your insight on how I wrote/though about code. Given these reflection questions, what specific, actionable steps will you take moving into your upcoming group project to continue your growth with working in technical teams?
- Engage in more paired programming when the opportunity presents itself. If you were working with this partner again, what is something that you would want to focus on improving as a team?
- Probably my patience with getting stuck. I get frustrated fairly easy and need to accept that getting stuck is a natural and common part of the process. Feedback for your partner
What strengths did your partner bring to the project?
- Mayu was highly engaged, prepared, and helpful. I felt like I could depend on her opinion or guidance on difficulties I faced and trusted her design decisions. What is something they could do better?
- In all honestly, I can't think of anything. Mayu reached out when she needed help, explained her design decisions very well, and was very flexible and easy to work with.
