##Description We are looking for a system administrator that can manage our infrastructure in the AWS cloud. She/He must be an expert on GNU/Linux system internals, automation, networking, software deployment and security. At Akamon engineering you are part of a big team that is responsible to create our company products. So you will be working with game and backend developers, analytics and marketing people being a key role in our company operations and giving you a 360 degree view of our bussiness.
We expect from you to be able to participate in systems design, responsabilize of our systems availability and help our developers to be conscious of infrastructure related issues like resource limitations, security and availability. We are strong believers of testing, automation and self improvement.
Your technical work environment will be our server platform which is hosted in AWS, is built on CentOS GNU/Linux and Puppet. Our backend is built on Symfony2 and our game servers are built in Java 8, all of them connected to our Mysql servers, ElastiCache clusters and RabbitMQ to decouple our infrastructure/services. We render our PHP with PHP-FPM and in front we have an NGINX and some ELB. We also have some ElasticSearch for log and data storage.
You will be working at Akamon, we create online games and gaming mobile apps. Here we care our product and the team behind it. ###Technical skills requirements
- Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineer, Life hacker, etc.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of LEMP and JVM stack.
- 3+ years of experience solving challenging problems related to web applications.
- Strong will to adhere to best practices in managing infrastructures and software management.
- Puppet, Chef, ansible.
- Networking protocols, routing, filtering.
- AWS management and monitoring.
- Software deployment.
- Software metrics and monitoring.
- Security practices and auditing.
- Knowledge on managing relational databases (MySQL) and other approaches to data management (redis, redshift would be great).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English, Spanish is must.
