@estenberg, @mirzak: This is my proposed edit to Mender Hub to document the new mender-binary-delta behavior.

Notice that in the Enterprise section, I don't mention that the first update will always be a rootfs-image. I'm torn on whether we should mention this. It is still required, but due to the automatic nature of delta updates in Enterprise, it will just happen automatically. So the only concern is potentially bandwidth. This only happens once, so maybe we should save the cognitive overhead?

I would actually remove the "without Enterprise" thread in this docs, rather just note that dependencies need to be tracked manually if not using Mender Enterprise. The main reasons are that 1) I think most people will use Enterprise for this, at least in production and 2) we will hopefully soon have an eval environment that includes all Enterprise features.

And I would include that a full image update is needed once first. Otherwise people might see that Mender does this and think they have done something wrong. This sentence explains it for Enterprise, just need some minor tweaks I think (to say this will happen automatically): "You must deploy a rootfs-image update once after you have provisioned your device, e.g using the disk image (sdimg). This is needed because the checksum is not tracked when using a sdimg file, only when using a mender file. As mentioned this is only needed once after you have provisioned a device, after that is done you can use delta Artifacts. This requirement may be lifted in the future, see this ticket for more information."
