Key skills

  • Have system administration experience on Linux. AWS experience is a big plus. We're Premium partners with Amazon. This is an exciting opportunity to use Amazon Web Services to the full extent and receive occasional trainings from Amazon Solution Architects.
  • Believes in and practices automation.
  • Have working knowledge of server configuration and provisioning tools like Puppet, Ansible etc.
  • Have experience with high traffic environments.
  • Have experience on optimizing database servers. We use PostgreSQL.
  • Familiar with best practices of Agile software development and Scrum framework.

Activities

  • Build the next generation of our production backend services infrastructure.
  • Monitors system health and support services & infrastructure when alerts are escalated to you.
  • Scale and optimize critical systems up to many thousands of requests per second.
  • Work closely with developers on projects. We're a small and agile team that is held sacred and we want to be cross-functional as much as possible.
  • You'll be playing a key decision making role in architectural changes as we iterate on the product.

The technologies we are currently using are listed below. But keep in mind that you do not necessarily need to know most of them from the beginning. On the other hand we are open minded about the tools we use, so you can always suggest better replacements and also whole team would be pretty eager to learn them in that case.
